Fossil Fuels (reformation) - The traditional and still primary method to produce hydrogen is via the process of reformation of fossil fuels (i.e. natural gas). Examples of companies that distribute this form of hydrogen include Praxair and Air Liquide. This process is expensive, requires high-pressure storage of the hydrogen once it is produced and supports the continued reliance on fossil fuels as a source of energy.
-
Other forms of Hydrogen Production - A few companies provide an alternative to the reformation of fossil fuels in the production of hydrogen. However, there is not one that can produce hydrogen while achieving all of the following: affordability, on-demand supply (avoiding high-pressure storage) and safety - without any toxic/harmful by-products. AEC is the only company known to be able to achieve all the above without compromise.
- Other sources of renewable energy - Wind, Solar, Fuel Cells, etc... Though all produce energy at little/no harm to the environment, most in this category are capital-cost prohibitive, can include high maintenance costs and other related issues.
AEC's superior technology produces hydrogen at a fraction of the cost of reformation, is simple, clean, affordable and available on-demand.
